From the Director

Hello All!

Yes, another Spotlight in your inbox! Our intention is to deliver this to you early in the week so you can be prepared for what’s coming up on rehearsal weekends.

After spending some fun, relaxed time building our company connections and learning some pretty complex music, we’re now moving into a faster rehearsal pace. This will be reflected in our new schedule (google links below).

The new schedule goes into effect beginning Sunday, November 6th; please check your google calendar link. We will send a PDF of the color-coded calendar (code named “bubble calendar”) for fridge display tomorrow!

Something Rotten! and Matilda showings – check the calendar below…they’re coming up this Friday the 28th (SR), Nov. 4th (SR), and Nov. 6th (MA). If you plan on attending, please bring your own dinner or snacks!

Parents! Please look at the volunteer Signup Genius link and make your selection as to how you would like to help Lights Up! accomplish our ambitious season. We can’t do it without you!

Reminder – If you are interested in Dance Corps, you must email info@Lightsupsb.com by end of the day tomorrow, Thursday, 10/27.

Coming up this Sunday-

• Headshots! Allie MacPhail will be coming to this Sunday’s rehearsal to take headshots of all actors. Allie will return Sunday, Dec. 4th to complete remaining headshots. If possible, please be ready this Sunday so we can get a good “head” start.

• Actors ready for headshots will sign up upon arrival, and will be photographed during rehearsal time. Please make sure you have a solid color shirt on (no logos), with hair neat and ready for a photo! Makeup is not necessary, but if you like, go ahead!

• Halloween costumes are encouraged this Sunday, October 30! We’ll have a little party from 3 – 3:30; you may either wear or bring your costume. Actors planning to have a headshot taken may want to avoid Halloween face makeup!

What’s Up This Week?

This Sunday, October 30th will be the first round of actor headshots for the new season! Headshots will be taken during Sundays rehearsal, so please bring a solid color top to wear (no patterns please) and come to rehearsal ready to have your picture taken.

Interested in Dance? Let us know if you’d like to dance with us on stage in the Dance Corps for The Drowsy Chaperone by end of day Thursday 10/27! Dance Corps is open to all 8th grade Performance and Conservatory members, and to 7th grade by permission, as space is limited. There are no auditions, but after expressing your interest, Meredith and Amy will meet with you as a group to elaborate on the rehearsal commitment and style of dance. Rehearsals as follows:

• Selected Sundays in a window between 2pm and 5:30pm
• One or two afternoon run-throughs the week of January 16th – 20th,
• Dress rehearsals January 24th and 25th
• Drowsy Chaperone shows January 26th – 28th.

December
