Lights Up! offers classes in acting, improv, vocal technique, movement and more through our Conservatory program. Unlike our performance companies, participation in Conservatory classes does not require an assessment or audition. Classes are welcoming, fun, and designed to support all experience levels.

Sessions are offered in the fall and spring, with limited class sizes to support the learning experience. This page is updated regularly with our latest offerings.

Fall 2026

Singing & Dancing for Musical Theatre Class for Ages 9-12

Join Lights Up’s Fall Conservatory for Show Tunes & Stage Moves, a class designed to help young actors to feel more comfortable singing, dancing, and doing both at the same time.

From dancing in the background and singing in the ensemble to playing a lead, every note and move matters! We will practice holding down harmonies in a group and standing out in a solo.This class will build the stamina and confidence to bring all these key skills together. And we’ll do it all while having lots of fun!

Wednesdays 4:00 – 5:30 PM
October 7 – November 11
Tuition: $350

Class location will be in Lights Up! black box theatre located at 2300 Garden Street in Santa Barbara. Lights Up! company membership not required. All experience levels welcome.
