Professional training in a nurturing environment.

Lights Up! offers classes in acting, improv, vocal technique, movement and more through our Conservatory program. Unlike our performance companies, participation in Conservatory classes does not require an assessment or audition. Classes are welcoming, fun, and designed to support all experience levels.

New For Winter 2026!

Conservatory Class For Grades 6-8

Lights Up!’s Conservatory program allows participants to experience our methodology, make new friends, and have FUN – without the pressure of performance or commitment to a company membership.
 
In this combination Improv & Singing class, students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades will gain new skills and experience in both subject areas in this class centered around collaboration and fun. The workshop culminates in a mini-cabaret performance for family and friends!

Fall 2025

Conservatory Classes For Ages 9-12

By popular demand, we’ve added two exciting classes to our Fall 2025 conservatory lineup – just for 9-12 year olds! All levels welcome; no audition or company membership required.
 
Classes are held at 2300 Garden Street in our rehearsal space, and run October 6 – November 10, 2025.
Intro To Improv

Join Assistant Director Heather Harkness for six classes focusing on one of the most valuable tools in an actor’s toolkit: improvisation! Say “yes, and”, get ready to laugh, collaborate, and create! All experience levels welcome; whether you’ve played with us before or have never tried it, this is the place for you!

This class is geared especially for 9-12 year-olds. 

Mondays 4:00 – 5:30 PM
October 6 – November 10
Tuition: $250 (6 sessions total)

Singing For Musical Theatre

Join Music Director Bella Garcia-Holland for six fun-filled singing classes featuring some of Broadway’s most popular songs! Build confidence in your own sound as you learn vocal technique, storytelling through music, projection, and performance. You’ll learn a song you can use for auditions – or just for singing in the shower!

This class is geared especially for 9-12 year-olds. 

Mondays 5:30 – 6:30 PM
October 6 – November 10
Tuition: $175 (6 sessions total)
